Medical First Responder & Basic EMT Programs

These programs are the perfect beginning course for those persons interested in pursuing a career in Police, Fire, EMS, Safety or any Medical related field. This course prepares the student to recognize and treat medical and traumatic emergencies. In addition, students become certified in CPR and emergency driving.

Prerequisites:

Physically capable and 18 years old by the time you take the national registry exam.

Medical First Responder Course

This course is a 72 hour program offered each fall for our nearby Fire First Response Agencies. This program prepares candidates to take the National Registry exam. More details to follow.

EMT Course

Richmond Lenox EMS does not currently offer a public EMT course. However, our current EMT program is offered through the Richmond High School CTE program and is limited to local high school students only.

 

Continuing Education Training Opportunities

Richmond Lenox EMS provides continuing education. Remember, you must complete one hour for each credit needed. Richmond Lenox EMS offers credits for MFR's through Paramedics. Please remember it takes 60 days to apply for a course and receive approval from the State of Michigan to teach it. Cost for these programs vary based on the number of students and the number of hours.
